NATIONAL LEAGUE: TWO SERIES LOOM LARGE

All JBW teams play their final four series against division opponents. Every season, these 20 games determine who gets into the post season, and who can start making draft day preparations. 2024 is no different. In the National League, there are two key series coming up that will go a long way to determine the post season matchups.

SERIES 25: Reds at Phillies

Currently, the Phillies lead the Reds by two games for the final NL wildcard spot. With both teams looking up at Washington and Atlanta, this head-to-head series is the most important matchup remaining on their schedules.

BUILDING A WINNER

In January 2022, Scott S. was introduced as the new JBW Twins manager. At the time, Minnesota was coming off a dismal 2021 season that put them atop the 2022 draft order. Now, two and a half years later, the Twins have the best record in the American League (and are tied with the Phillies for 3rd-best record in JBW). Using documents at hand, I put together the chart below which shows the current MIN roster, including how the player was acquired, and his 2024 JBW & MLB stats. Note: The chart, while incomplete, shows how a JBW franchise can be quickly rebuilt via shrewd trades and drafting.
